KUMBAKONAM

PRIST university Kumbakonam campus is located near Asoor bye –pass road, which is nearly 5-6 Kms from Kumbakonam Bus stand, via palakarai. Our Kumbakonam campus is spreaded over in 16 acres of land and built up area is 2 Lakh sq.ft. The campus offers B.Tech., degree in various disciplines and M.C.A., & M.Phil, in all branches , and MBA through PRIST School of business. Subsequently, PRIST has spread its wings in different directions ,both in the field of education and also in the social welfare activities.

The university is equipped with an effective placement cell. Leading MNC’s and corporate majors will participate in the campus selection programme conducted by the university to facilitate the placement of students.

Kumbakonam:
The Kumbakonam town is situated in Thanjavur District at a distance of 40 kms from Thanjavur. It is famous for many temples of Lord Shiva and Vishnu such as Kumbeshawarar Temple, Darasuram Irawadheswarar Temple, Sarangapani Temple and many others; hence Kumbakonam is called as “TEMPLE CITY”. Another Notable Place in Kumbakonam is the “Mahamaham Tank”, a huge tank which covers four streets along its bank in all the four directions, and Mahamaham festival is celebrated there once every 12 years, which is famous all over TamilNadu, like Kumbamela celebrated in northern India.
