CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 2025

PRIST University proudly celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8, 2025, at the ‘C’ Block Seminar Hall. The event was attended by distinguished guests, faculty members, and students, all gathered to honor the achievements and contributions of women. Mrs. R.T. Latha, District Social Welfare Officer, Thanjavur District, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome address by Dr. A. Sohna Chandra Packiavathy, COE, who honored the Chief Guest. In her inspiring speech, Mrs. R.T. Latha emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment, highlighting their vital role in shaping society and driving positive change. She encouraged women to break free from societal stereotypes and pursue their passions with determination and perseverance.

Dr. T.V. Christy, Vice-Chancellor, reiterated the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity and equality. Dr. Abdul Ghani Khan, Registrar, and Dr. A. Sohna Chandra Packiavathy, Controller of Examinations, also graced the occasion.

The event featured a thought-provoking discussion on the challenges faced by women in modern society. The celebration concluded with a cultural program, featuring performances by students and faculty members.
