Report on one-day seminar on Polymeric Semiconductors for Flexible Organic Opto-Electronics

The Department of Physics has organized a one-day seminar on Polymeric Semiconductors for Flexible Organic Opto-Electronicsat the RDC seminar hall-1, PRIST Deemed to be Universityon 01.02.2024. The total number of participants were 123.

Dr. S. Subashchandrabose, Head, the Department of Physics delivered a welcome address. This event was presided over by Dr. L. Chinnapa, Dean, School of Arts and Science.A brief introduction of the chief guest was delivered by Dr. J.S. Nirmal Ram, Head, the Department of Chemistry.

Prof. N. Somanathan, Senior Principal Scientist, Head Polymer Division CSIR- Central Leather Research Institute Adyar, Chennai was the resource person of this seminar. His presentation deals with Polymeric Semiconductors for Flexible Organic Opto-Electronics. He demonstrated that how polymeric semiconducting materials can be fabricated and used as flexible devices in organic materials based opto-electronics field. It was athought-provoking and very useful lecture with illustrative images, and videos. Ultimately, the seminar was very useful to the participants. It was reflected in the digital feedback of the participants, the commented necessity and worthiness of the event.

The seminar was finished with the vote of thanks by Dr. M. Sivanantham, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics.
