NSS ACTIVITY – TOBACCO AWARENESS RALLY

On November 23, 2024, our NSS students and staff members took part in the “Tobacco Awareness Rally.” The purpose of the event was to raise public awareness and inspire people to quit smoking.

To encourage people to quit smoking and spread awareness of the negative effects of tobacco use, our NSS students put on a street play. Mr. K. Ganesh Kumar, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Thanjavur Range, started off the rally.

The staff and students chanted slogans regarding the negative effects of tobacco use in all its forms, including smokeless, cigarette, and bidi tobacco. The public was also given health education pamphlets regarding the negative effects of tobacco use.
