OBCCELL

The Ponnaiyah Ramajayam Institute of Science and Technology OBCCell (Other Backward Classes Cell) is established to address the issues, concerns, and welfare of students, staff, and employees from the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category. The OBC category consists of socially and educationally disadvantaged groups, who, while not belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) or Scheduled Tribes (ST), still face discrimination and challenges related to their social and economic status.

The primary objective of the OBC-Cell is to ensure that OBC individuals receive equal opportunities, fair treatment, and support in line with government policies, including reservations in admissions, scholarships, and other welfare schemes.
