ONE DAY TRAINING ON MANAGING FEED COSTS AND PRODUCTION EFFICIENCY IN POULTRY FARMING
The Thursday, August 29, 2024, was the day of the training program titled “Managing feed costs and production efficiency in poultry farming” at 10:00 am, the program began, and it ended at 2:45 pm. The renowned Head of the Department (i/c), Dr. R.Arunkumar, has given support for this workshop, which is being conducted by Ms.M.Nuthana priya, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Horticultureat the School of Agriculture. Mr.S.Misa heal, Jeslin poultry farm was honored as the workshop’s resource person after the mother Tamil was invoked and holy lamps were lit. The training session starts at 10.30 am following the special address and guest introduction by Dr. R.Arunkumar. Our Honorable Vice Chancellor, deliver the felicitation address. The training program on poultry management was conducted with the aim of enhancing the participants’ understanding and practical knowledge about the identification of the different types of quails and known about the medicinal properties of kadaknath variety. The resource person spoke gently about the cost management of poultry farming.
The training program was structured into the following key sessions:
Session 1: Introduction to Poultry management
Knowing about the different types of hens, quails and kadaknath varieties
Session 2: discussion about poultry costs
Hands-on demonstration about the quails and discussing about the rate of the quail products
Session : Open Discussion and Q&A
Participants were encouraged to share their experiences and ask questions related to poultry farming. Experts provided tailored advice and solutions to specific challenges faced by the participants
