SC/ST COMMITTEE 

The Ponnaiyah Ramajayam Institute of Science and Technology SC/ST Committee (Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes Committee) is aimed at addressing the issues and concerns faced by students and employees belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), as well as other marginalized communities. The primary objective of this committee is to ensure that these groups have access to opportunities, support, and a discrimination-free environment, in line with the provisions of the Indian Constitution and various government policies. 

Key Objectives of the SC/ST Committee: 

  1. Promoting Equality and Social Justice: The SC/ST Committee works to ensure that students and employees from the SC/ST communities are treated fairly and provided equal opportunities in academic, administrative, and social settings.

Addressing Discrimination and Harassment: One of the primary functions of the committee is to prevent and address any incidents of caste-based discrimination, bullying, or harassment faced by SC/ST students or staff members.
